Main Conference Day 1
8:50 am - 8:55 am Welcome from IQPC
8:55 am - 9:00 am Chairperson's Welcome
9:00 am - 9:50 am Who Should Own the Employee Experience?
The employee experience sits at the intersection of
culture, technology and physical environment, and is
something that every area of the business benefits
from when executed correctly. Yet, who should
take ownership of the experience? Or is siloed
responsibility just adding to the challenge?
We will be asking our panellists:
• How can collaboration between departments
foster a better overall experience for employees?
• What matters more to employee engagement, the
physical environment or the strategy within that
space?
• What are the consequences of a disconnect
between HR and CRE?
9:50 am - 10:30 am A Change Management Plan for Long-Lasting Change
Companies of all sizes from varying industries
are rethinking their workplace strategies. While
implementing the latest designs and the most upto-
date technologies, how can you ensure that your
employees will appreciate the space and make the
most of it? A comprehensive change management
plan that keeps your employees involved is crucial to
the overall success of your workplace strategy. What
are the key elements to a strong change management
plan, and what can you do to kick start yours?
10:30 am - 11:00 am It’s Good to Talk…
During this time, attendees will discuss with a
table of peers what their most pressing challenges
are and list these as a table. Groups will provide
feedback to the Chair and all information will be
taken down by IQPC representatives onsite. These
will then be collated, and passed on to contributors
to the Keynote Panel at 09.00 on Day 2 who will
discuss approaches and matters around the
challenges raised.
11:30 am - 12:10 pm Change is Completed. What Next?
Is EVERYONE happy and adopting the change?
How far from the original, approved plan did you
land? As a committed person for change, hear what
skills, tools and techniques were used along with a
degree of flexibility for the change to be successful
and then maintained.
12:10 pm - 12:50 pm The Next Workplace or the First of its Kind?
It is known that your employees’ workplace
requirements are individual and vary from person
to person, department to department, and sector
to sector; so too have modern corporate goals
and values as businesses work harder still to
accommodate the increasingly diverse nature of the
workforce. How can you work with your employees
to design a human-centred workspace that is
conducive to their success? Furthermore, what are
the tools and strategies that have a proven track
record of enabling your workforce?
12:50 pm - 1:50 pm Lunch and Networking Break
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm Monopoly-Themed Interactive Session
In this session, attendees will be guided by a host
through a series of scenarios and encouraged to
formulate approaches based on the experiences of
those at the table. The host will provide their own
thoughts and assist with potential steps.
3:30 pm - 4:00 pm Afternoon Networking Break
4:00 pm - 4:40 pm Delivering A/V at Speed and at Scale
Google’s VC fleet numbers over 14,000 rooms. Gary
Keene will present a case study on how user needs
drove A/V design and delivery for 2,400 clients at
Google’s newest London office and how lessons
learned there will be used in future projects.
4:40 pm - 5:20 pm Establishing Corporate Space: Do Employees Know Best?
With ubiquity in enterprise space being demanded by
employees, what does this mean for their involvement
in the creation of a workplace that satisfies the
varied operational needs of your workforce while
encouraging mobile and agile working?
5:20 pm - 6:00 pm The Workforce and Technology: Love-Hate
As CRE managers, there are a multitude of difficulties
in getting your people to embrace the next big
technological thing. This is, in part, because people
often change their minds and do the same with
the technology that they use. As managers you
must embrace that people often have different and
legitimate reasons to like or dislike the same technology.
Aside from enforcing a three line whip, forcing your
employees to comply, how can you continually gain
buy-in from your workforce? How can you continually
justify whether it is functional- while it is new does it
actually work in practice for the employee?
6:00 pm - 6:05 pm Chairperson's Closing Remarks
8:00 am - 8:00 am Next Generation Workplaces Quiz and Fizz
This is your chance to unwind with your peers and enjoy
a drink or two, whilst testing your wits against the other
teams in our signature pub quiz!
